Old Time Malacca

I just dig back some of my old time photos and found something nice and interesting. It was way back in 2007 when I first bought my digital SLR from Sony and at that time I'm so into photography and always wanted to take lots of photos....

I felt so much wanted to share my work with you and it was taken with Sony A100 mounted with kit lens...

Hair Tattoo Competition

It's the last month of year 2009, it's DECEMBER!!! Wish all HAPPY can!

Alright, back to last month, I was invited to attend the Malaysia Hair Tattoo Competition Final which was held at Zouk Club, K.L. Never been to such show before, and I'll never ever know that there are people around us doing crazy things like they did on that night...and I would love to say, they are gorgeous!

The show starts with this Japanese guy...Tread Mac

DSC09579.jpg

He is known of his hair tattoo-ing skill. The final outcome of the tattoo was actually a dragon. OMG! He completed the tattoo in less than 1/2 hour. Bravo!!!

He actually did showcased another two more tattoo designs which he prepared on the day before.

DSC09599.jpg

After the first show, the first round of contestants were summoned and they were ready to show off their skill to the audiences.

DSC09606.jpg

The following were the results from round 2 contestants...

DSC09653.jpg

Then there were a few more shows before the results of the competition being announced.

There were 2 signature finale hair show from Winnie Loo and Park? (forgotten the full name) from Korea which I personally think it's good.

Only managed to capture the whole team of Winnie Loo after their show....

DSC09610.jpg

Next, Park is like a stunt man. He swings his scissors like nobody business...(damn scary if I were the model). All the way in his hair show, he keep on dancing and doing his kung fu moves....I would say, that was pretty interesting and entertaining among all the hair shows...

Now, look what he is doing...

DSC09696.jpg

I don't know whether he was really blind at that moment....

DSC09704.jpg

Anyhow, nothing worse happen, so a big applause to Park....LOLZ!!!

Okay! Done for the hair tattoo, thanks for viewing!

The night before in Penang was not so great....but today we are going to make it a better one...

Before I go further...here are some shots of my family during our breakfast at Air Itam area...

Here they are...ever entertaining Sister!

Okay...now lets make our way to a better day in Penang...

DSC01540.jpg

The taste of this hokkien mee was okay...but not great...(just to let you know...the day wasn't pleasant at all...caused it was super difficult to look out for food on that day...we really have no idea??!! The whole Penang was like sleeping in the middle of the week!)

So immediately...we jumped to the next stall....with some hope...

DSC01551.jpg

DSC01553.jpg

Phewww!!! At least this round was a little satisfying...and I consider this as better than nothing at all...

Okay! Lets get over it more food later....next will be going places for a while...and since we're in Air Itam...we decided to pay a visit to the nearby sacred place.....a place I missed since my teenage era....can you guess where it is?!

My New Baby!

After almost like 3 years ever since I owned both baby Alphas (A100 & A700) there's no new lens purchase except the 2nd hand Beercan, Minolta 28mm f/2.8 and Minolta 50mm f/1.7. All these while I've been generally using the Sony kit lens (18-70mm) across 2 babies. This lens serve me well through out these period of times.

I've been itching a long time on owning a better zoom lens which can actually replace the kit lens. I had been considering a few options and it's quite hard to decide as the price tag does matter to me.

Until last Sunday, all the longing and waits are finally over....I've made up my mind and decided to tighten my waist belt and bring the first new baby out from the sealed box, it's the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR!

DSC09533.jpg

And I paid the price to fulfill the desire...It's a fast and bright lens which is going to ease me a lot when I'm out on the field.

DSC09543.jpg

The new lens is a lot more heavier than the kit lens and looks more macho which is exactly what I want my baby to look like!

DSC09525.jpg

Handsome can! But the overall body + lens weight is killing my arm...I think I better train myself to get use to the weight... ^_____^"

Not that after this new baby comes into the line-up, that the kitty lens is gonna retire, but instead it will return to its old partner....A100...they must have miss each other for a long long time. :P

Dream Comes True!!!

Here is one of the test shot that I've done with this new baby...

DSC02110.jpg

The lens is sharp and the color rendition is looking good to me. I've also tried on opening wide at 17mm and found that it actually has a little bit of distortion at the side-end. But it's expected and somehow this could be creative at times...

Love it so much...what a good replacement....LOLZ!!! Come and join me for photoshooting...

X'Mas Deco - Mid Valley

The final part of my X'mas deco collection...Mid Valley....I save this place the last because it's too convenient for me to snap any pics at any time....:P

Mid Valley was one of the unique one which had a theme for the X'mas deco...it was Circus...damn nice can!

X'Mas Deco - Pavilion

Second part of X'mas deco....here I went....Pavilion...didn't have any high hope...and yes indeed I was right....the X'mas tree was reused....just that...they put it at a different location compared to previous year....so lame...here's a few pics not only showing Pavilion...but around Bukit Bintang as well....

DSC01092.jpg

DSC01097.jpg

This road's traffic is always like that...never change a single bit...but still I do like it...otherwise it's not Bukit Bintang anymore... :P

Then I went to opposite road to take this shot...

DSC01137.jpg

It's I and LV and X'Mas trees.... ^____^

X'Mas Deco - The Curve

Though it's very late to put up this post...but then...I still have to clear this back logs right...^__^"'

So...here it goes...the first part will be The Curve...

DSC00588.jpg

The X'mas atmosphere portrayed at the Street....

DSC00607.jpg

DSC00616.jpg

DSC00635.jpg

DSC00637.jpg

DSC00664.jpg

The overall indoor deco was a lot better compared to the previous year which was just a white show house with minimal surroundings...significantly they did put in more effort and budget to set these up...

DSC00671.jpg

It's brilliant not to cramp up the Street with X'mas stalls....people can now walk better...

DSC00687.jpg

Lastly...some X'mas deco infront of Cineleisure....
